What this website stores
The website itself uses no cookies or Session Storage. When you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in this browser’s Local Storage under donauconnect-theme as light or dark. Its sole purpose is to retain your chosen appearance across pages and future visits. The preference is not sent to a server and remains saved until you choose another mode or clear the website data in your browser. After deletion, the appearance follows your system setting again. If browser storage is blocked, the switch still works for the currently open page. The language is selected through the address of the relevant language page and is not saved in browser storage.

Hosting with STRATO
Server logs are created on the web server and are not cookies on your device. The privacy notice describes processing of technical connection data during hosting.
The website has no embedded advertising or analytics tools. A STRATO sign-in is not required to use the pages.
Your options
There are currently no optional analytics or marketing features to switch on or off on the Donauconnect pages. No consent dialog for those features is therefore displayed. If we introduce services that require your consent, we will inform you and obtain consent before activating them.
You can inspect and delete saved website data through your browser settings. The supplied pages do not require a stored language preference or a user account.
